A Family That Prays Together, Stays Forever

Even though its easy to forget at times, family is the most important thing in the world. Have you ever been influenced by some important person that helped you be the person that you are today? I have been. The people that have had influence on me are the most important humans beings, my family.

.I could begin the book of my life with a picture of my parents. They are important because they helped in my development. Also, they gave me the things that I needed to grow up in the moment that I needed and they still gave me everything that I needed to become somebody in the future. Among these things is the education that I have received all in my life, my basic needs like food, clothes, medicine, a place to live, and the most important thing, the love. Like for example, by being there when I needed somebody to talk to and giving me speeches when I do something wrong. Also, they care for me when I am sick and they give me the necessary things to get better. They teach me good values like how to behave, to respect other people, and to share with other people. Sometimes they push me in certain directions and have high expectations for me, but now I really appreciate everything they have taught me. I understand why they do certain things and it is because my parents want the best for me. On certain occasions I get mad, but later appreciate their words of wisdom and understand. My parents are wonderful. Now, about my one brother all I can say is that he is wonderful, too. With him I have learned to share, to have fun, and to understand different points of view in different situations. He is older  than me, he said that it doesn't matter because sometimes people think that because they are older they know everything and that is not true, we can learn from those younger than us too. Also I have shared moments in which we laughed, or we get sad, but there are always moments that I will remember

Our family is like the branches of a tree. We may grow in different directions, yet our roots remain as one. In a nut shell, thank God for having sent them all of my life.I’m happy with my family as well as makes me always happy.Without them all,my life may not be as it is now.I hope all of my family member happy and successful life and the hereafter. Thanks to my beloved family  because makes me a part of yourself.

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs

Why do we need to know the Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs?

  • Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs portrays our actions in order to achieve certain needs. This hierarchy suggests that people are motivated to fulfill basic needs before moving on to other, more advanced needs. This theory parallels many other theories of human developmental psychology, some of which focus on describing the stages of growth in humans. As a human, we realized that these are our needs through Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. This theory has been criticized on above grounds; still it holds many advantages or merits. It helps the managers to provide the right financial and non-financial motivation to their employees. This overall helps to increase the efficiency, productivity, and profitability of the organization.

What are the criticisms of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs?

  • Some research showed some support for Maslow's theories, most research has not been able to substantiate the idea of a needs hierarchy. Other criticisms of Maslow's theory note that his definition of self-actualization is difficult to test scientifically. His research on self-actualization was also based on a very limited sample of individuals, including people he knew as well as biographies of famous individuals that Maslow believed to be self-actualized, such as Albert Einstein and Eleanor Roosevelt. Regardless of these criticisms, Maslow's hierarchy of needs represents part of an important shift in psychology. Rather than focusing on abnormal behavior and development, Maslow's humanistic psychology was focused on the development of healthy individuals.

Self-esteem, Inner Confidence, Self Talk

"You are perfect exactly as who you are" this was I realized when I watched the video. It conveys that when you see yourself in a mirror, you will underestimate yourself. You would say you are ugly, you have big eyes, you are old to look at and etc. In that, you will not be able to commit self-esteem and inner confidence in facing other people. You always comparing yourself as lower value of being a human. But, all in all, you don't know that people around you would say you are beautiful, you are perfectly made. You've just say about those things to yourself because you don't trust yourself, you are not proud of yourself. Let us always remember that everyone of us is UNIQUE. God made us creatively of what we are. Let us accept ourselves and be proud of to gain self-esteem, inner confidence and positive self talk.

Me Myself and I

I am Ronnalie J. Reponte. I lived in Sta. Irene, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur. We are 4 members in the family. My good disciplinarian father is Ronaldo C. Reponte, a teacher. My lovable mother is Annalie J. Reponte, a business woman. I have an older brother named Rolie J. Reponte, a sea navigator of Magsaysay-Mitsui O.S.K Marine Inc. As of now, he had his own family. We are simple and small family but full of love and happiness that can never be broke-down by others for we have a strong foundation of courage and united as one.

In my whole life, I've already accepted that I am the person who always "wearing a mask". Living in this world is not an easy one. Trials, downs, challenges and big problems are depressive dilemmas I've passed through. But through all these, I learned to smile but behind of this sweet smile my heart is bursting with sorrow and stab it with insecurity. I don't want to let other people know that I am problematic because all I want to do is to make them smile and show to them that I am fine.

Too bad to know that I've always underestimate myself. But as of now, I decided that I have to trust myself and accept my  guts and instincts. I am starting to build a foundation of self-confidence and a strong determination. I want to be strong and hard as a rock.

I really appreciated God for giving me a kind of intelligence to understand and eager to know new things around me. I do appreciate my parents who always there for me, showing their unconditional love, and for being the best supportive parents ever.

"What you sow, is what you reap" literally a common saying for us. My biggest achievements in my entire life is being the always top 1 from my elementary to secondary through my hard works in my studies and inspired by God. I am very thankful to Him for giving me this kind of blessing. And now, my goal is to achieve with honors in college which I am working hard on it. I want to achieve the satisfaction of my father because he is a perfectionist person. It's a very difficult and a challenging one because it allows me to study more and focus more on my studies.

I love my life because this was the precious gift I received from God. Even though I've almost aborted when my mother was giving birth to me, God made a way to be here in the world to live with a significant purpose. Without my life there would be nothing. In my life, God gives me the people I need. To help me, to hurt me, and to make me the person I was meant to be.
